Prom RSVP Due by 3/24
The Prom will take place from 7-11 PM on Friday, April 24th at Deerfield Golf Club. RSVP is due THIS FRIDAY the 20th. The RSVP form can be found on schoology, and it must be accompanied with payment.

Charterthon Raises $18k
Charterthon 2026 raised $18k in the fight against childhood cancer this past Saturday. Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, and supported this incredible cause. 💙

CSW Swimming Finishes Runner-Up at DIAA State Championships
Both the CSW boys and girls swimming teams delivered outstanding performances at the DIAA State Championships, each finishing 2nd overall in the state. The strong results cap off an impressive season in the pool and highlight the depth and talent across Charter’s swimming program. Congratulations to all of our swimmers and coaches on a fantastic finish to the season.

CSW Swimmer Aaron Markey Earns Weekly Honors
Charter of Wilmington swimmer Aaron Markey earned Delaware Online Athlete of the Week honors after a standout performance in the pool, highlighted by strong finishes during Conference Championships last weekend.

Two CSW teams are advancing to the next level pitch event, the Entrex DE Venture Showcase.
Congratulations to GlemaWear (Business Venture Winners) Khadeja Aba Ashan, Jana Ahmed, Aubrey Gold, and Geraldine Lorzo Santiago, and HourVana (Social Venture Winners) Shayif Al Gohafi, Nathan Lopez, and Pratham Oza for earning top honors and the opportunity to present their ventures on a bigger stage.

Charterthon March 7th - Save the Date!
Features include karaoke, Just Dance, 3v3 basketball tournament, spikeball tournament, and a coloring corner. Plus, NEW this year - two hours of open pool time, a lip sync battle (sign-ups coming soon), a talent show (sign-ups coming soon), and an hour of live music from student bands. Start prepping your talent or choosing your lip sync song now. Tickets are $30. If you are lifeguard certified and want some service hours OR if you’re a member of a band and want to perform, come see Ms. Massarotti in room 313 ASAP.

Mark your calendar for CSW Casino Night on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Hockessin Fire Hall. Enjoy a fun night of casino-style games while supporting a great cause. Tickets go on sale February 17, priced at $100, with proceeds benefiting our 1:1 Technology Campaign to enhance learning for all CSW students.

Foster Well Book Drive THIS WEEK!
This week, the Foster Well Club is collecting new or gently used children’s and teen books for foster youth. Books can be a powerful outlet, offering comfort, escape, and a sense of joy during difficult times. That book you loved growing up could now mean just as much to another child.
Donations can be dropped off in Ms. DiMaio’s room (326) starting Monday. Thank you for helping us share the power of stories.

FREE RAFFLE at The Wellness Center
The Wellness Center is offering a free raffle for $25 Wawa gift cards to students who schedule a wellness check visit. Visits include a basic physical, mental and social health screening, and nutrition review. Sports physicals also qualify.

Honoring Wilmington High State Champs
Next Thursday, January 15, we are hosting a Throwback Night honoring the 1988 Wilmington High School boys basketball state championship team.
Students may dress down and wear red as we celebrate Wilmington High basketball history and school pride!

International Coding Succes
Mrs. Chalima class participated in the competition during Computer Science Education Week, held annually during the second week of December. Working together as a team, students earned third place internationally by completing 20 Python-based challenges within a 120-minute time limit. The challenges tested key programming skills, including basic coding concepts, repeat loops, variables, and arrays.

NHS Takes on NYC
On Wednesday (12/10), members of the CSW National Honor Society took an educational and fun trip to New YorkCity. Students enjoyed seeing the Christmas Spectacular, making the trip a festive and memorable experience.

STEM Presentation Schedule Update
STEM presentations have been rescheduled for Monday, January 5. Freshmen and sophomores will follow the same presentation schedule originally planned for December 19. Juniors and seniors will have an asynchronous day, with assignments posted to Schoology closer to January 5.
Students may leave campus at the conclusion of presentations at 11:15 AM if transportation is available. For students without a ride, bus service will operate on a normal schedule.

Parents can log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and go to their Settings or Contact Preferences.
There, they can make sure their phone number is listed and check the box to opt in for text (SMS) messages, then save their changes.
