The Charter School of Wilmington has been officially recognized by the Delaware Department of Education for two consecutive years of meaningful improvement on the Delaware School Success Framework (DSSF). Only a select group of 19 schools across the state achieved this level of sustained progress, placing CSW among Delaware’s top-performing and fastest-improving schools.

This recognition reflects more than strong assessment results. The DSSF evaluates a broad range of indicators—including student growth, attendance, college and career readiness, and progress toward English proficiency—offering a fuller picture of school performance over time. According to Secretary of Education Cynthia Marten, CSW’s steady progress across multiple measures demonstrates impactful teaching, strong student support, and a school community committed to excellence.

CSW President Dan Bartnik praised teachers and staff for their dedication, noting that student success is the result of intentional relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the daily hard work happening across the building and expressed gratitude to educators for consistently raising the bar.

The Delaware Department of Education will highlight CSW’s accomplishment during the upcoming State Board of Education meeting, celebrating the school as a model of comprehensive, sustained academic growth.
