Track & Field Shines at State Championships

The Force delivered an impressive showing at this year’s DIAA State Track & Field Championships, bringing home podium finishes, a state title, and a new school record.

Leading the way on the girls side, the 4x800 meter relay team of Abby Adeyanju, Veronica Kamenitzer, Ria Vadhera, and Ginny Hendrixson earned State Runner-Up honors with a 2nd place finish.

Individually, Ginny Hendrixson continued her standout season with a 2nd place finish in the 800 meter run, while Veronica Kamenitzer turned in an outstanding distance double, placing 4th in the 3200 meter run and 5th in the 1600 meter run. Devynn Hunt also earned a podium finish with 4th place in the high jump.

On the boys side, Brandon Williams captured the State Championship in the 800 meter run, earning the title of State Champion.

The pole vault competition became a showcase for Charter dominance as Lilly Brooks (1st), Ginny Hendrixson (2nd), and Sienna Sylves (3rd) completed an incredible event sweep. Lilly’s championship performance also resulted in a new school record of 10'9"—the fourth time this season she has broken her own school record.

Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers and athletes on an unforgettable championship performance!
