Matt Meyer with CSW students

The Charter School of Wilmington welcomed Governor Matt Meyer to campus this past week for a visit focused on student innovation and the future of STEM education in Delaware. During his time at CSW, Governor Meyer met with Head of School Dan Bartnik, Dr. Triebenbacher, Dr. Valenti, and Mrs. Olson to learn more about the school’s academic programs and student-led initiatives.

A highlight of the visit was a conversation with members of CSW’s iGEM team, where students shared their work and discussed opportunities to expand the program across the state. Students participating in the discussion included Anushree Thirukumaran, Subiksha Srinivasan Vidya, Amogh Dattatri, Leonard Dong, Elaine Zuo, Selena Gao, Anna Huang, and Ruchika Yerram.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the impact of CSW’s STEM programs and explore ways to grow hands-on research experiences for students throughout Delaware.
