The Charter School of Wilmington is proud to highlight world language teacher Vincent Civarelli, who recently presented at the Northeast Conference for Teachers of Foreign Languages (NECTFL) — one of the largest regional world language conferences in the country.
During the conference, Civarelli facilitated a roundtable discussion on Free Voluntary Reading and led a professional learning session on teaching grammar in context, both key components of proficiency-based language instruction. With approximately 50% of proposals accepted, having both of his sessions selected is a notable professional achievement.
His presentations contributed to important conversations around effective language teaching and learning while representing The Charter School of Wilmington and the state of Delaware at the regional level.
