Elaine Guo BPA president

The Charter School of Wilmington is proud to celebrate Elaine Guo on being elected Delaware State President of Business Professionals of America (BPA).

Elaine has been involved with BPA for the past five years and describes this achievement as the culmination of her experience in the organization. “Being able to represent Delaware and serve as the student voice of BPA is something I’m really excited about,” she said.

Elaine previously served as Delaware BPA State Secretary, where she gained valuable experience working with the state leadership team and learning how the organization operates behind the scenes. She also credits her involvement in student government at CSW for helping her build the leadership and communication skills necessary to step into a statewide role.

As State President, Elaine hopes to focus on improving communication between BPA members and administration while helping organize conferences, registration processes, and statewide events more clearly. She is also passionate about expanding fundraising efforts to help more Delaware students attend the National Leadership Conference, where travel costs can often be a barrier for some participants.

Elaine also plans to revive initiatives such as a statewide BPA newsletter and podcast to help strengthen connections among chapters across Delaware.

Reflecting on her journey, Elaine encourages other students to take chances and get involved. “Just put yourself out there,” she said. “Leadership can feel intimidating at first, but starting small and getting involved helped me realize I could grow into those roles.”

Elaine also expressed gratitude to Mrs. Clough, Mr. Lopez, and Ms. Berger for their continued mentorship and support of BPA students at Charter.

Congratulations, Elaine, on this outstanding accomplishment and on representing CSW across the state of Delaware.
