This past Sunday, December 7th, our girls wrestling teammade history by hosting the very first Lady Lightning BoltInvitational! The tournament featured 128 wrestlersfrom 21 schools—the largest in-state girls wrestling eventDelaware has ever seen.
Fourteen Lady Force wrestlers stepped onto the mats with only four weeks of experience and showed incredible skill, determination, and team spirit. CSW wrestlers finished 5th as a team, with five students earning top placements:
Kristain Patrick as Tournament Champion, Bella Kim in 3rd place, Sophie Lavoie Boone in 4th, Lina Yaakoubd in 5th, and Sherlyn Soriano in 6th. Beyond the medals, it was inspiring to watch our athletes support each other, bond as a team, and grow both on and off the mats. These young women are already leaving their mark on Delaware girls wrestling!
