Schragger win the Comcast Academic Challenge. Their road to victory is a who's who of past
champions:
- November
16 - We attend the Fall tournament, hosted by Salesianum. Memorably, Damini exiles Beryl to the B team, and then the B team defeats the A team in the semis. Beryl's team loses to Sallies in the final. The C team wins the consolation bracket.
- February
1 - Damini's team is perfect at 8-0, as they win the NAQT State Championship, with Jason's team as the other finalist. This is the second NAQT title by the school, and the second time the final has been Charter A versus Charter B.
- March
The team attends Blue Hen 5. Damini, Beryl, Ben, and Jason have an impressive run. Over 30 teams compete, and Charter A makes it all the way to the final, losing to Gonzaga. The B team of Godfrey Miller, Arun Hendi, Chris Bisigani, and Austin Zheng makes it as far the quarterfinals. The C and D teams each have 2-2 records, just missing the octo-finals by a win.
- May
29 - NAQT HSNCT. What a great trip to Myrtle Beach! Sanford and Caesar Rodney were also in attendance, and we went out for dinner with Sanford one night. It also didn't hurt that we finished 8th at the tournament. Damini is listed 12th out of 307 competitors.
- June
6 - Leaving Damini and Godfrey at home to graduate, Beryl, Jason, and Ben adopt Arun and Austin as their new teammates. At the Washington phase of Questions Unlimited, The team goes 3-1 in the prelims, and as the 12 seed loses to Hastings, NY in the octofinals. Our listed rank is 21st out of over 100 teams.
