General Academic Performance

• The Charter School of Wilmington was rated 178 out of over 1000 schools by Newsweek Magazine (June, 2009) for the Top High Schools in the United States.
• The Charter School of Wilmington was rated 42 out of over 1000 schools by U.S. World News and World Report  (December, 2008).
• The Charter School of Wilmington was rated 9th on the list of Top Charter Schools in the U.S. by World News and World Report  (December, 2008).
 • The Charter School of Wilmington continues to have the highest high school scores on every Delaware State Assessment Test.
         
Team Awards

• First in nation at PACE and NAQT Academic Bowl Competitions
• First in the state at the 2009 World Quest Competition; team placed eleventh at the national competition.
• First in the state at the 2009 Delaware Science Olympiad
• First in the state at the 2009 Mock Trial Competition
• First place in Delaware TEAMS Engineering Competition 2009
• First place at 2009 Delaware Math League Invitational both (9th grade team & 10th-12th grade teams)
• First place in 2009 Delaware Math League (both 9th grade team & 10th-12th grade teams)
• First place in 2009 Regional Delaware Math League
• First in the state at the 2009 Delaware Envirothon Science Competition
• First Place Delaware Regional FIRST Vex Challenge
• First Place Delaware Odyssey of the Mind Competition

• Sixteen students selected as National Merit Semifinalists

• Three students selected as 2009 Presidential Scholar Semifinalists
• One student selected as 2009 Presidential Scholar
• Most Awards received at 2009 First State High School Journalism Contest
• 65 Juniors Received Michael Ferguson Scholarships
• State and National French, Latin and Spanish Contest winners
• One student selected as News Journal Academic All-Star
• Two students selected as semi-finalists for U.S. National Physics Team (2 of 150 students in U.S.)

Sports Achievements

• Girls Swimming and Diving Team Win 2009 State Championship
• Girls Track and Field Team Win 2009 State Championship
• Coach of the Year – Girls Softball
• Coach of the Year – Girls Track and Field
• Many teams advanced to the state finals during the 2008-2009 school year.
• Many CSW athletes received post-season All- Conference and All-State Honors.
